
CARS; Any American made passenger car or station wagon. Pick ups are NOT legal. Wheel base 108” minimum, with NO alterations to wheelbase. Camaros and Firebirds are legal.
WEIGHT; Minimum weight is 3800 pounds.
A. Fluids or parts lost during events may not be added to make weight.
B. Minimum weight includes driver.
FRAME; Stock frames from front to rear with ALL STOCK suspension. NO altering of frame from stock in any way.
SUSPENSION; ABSOLUTELY STOCK. NO MODIFICATIONS. Racing springs and racing shocks will NOT be allowed. If numbers are altered or ground off, part is illegal.
REAR ENDS; Stock only. Locked rear ends are allowed. Welded only. No mini spools or full spools. No final drive gears allowed. A 1” inspection hole must be welded in top right hand side of rear end housing. If you do not have an inspection hole you will not be allowed to pull the cover of gear. You will automatically be DISQUALIFIED.
DRIVE SHAFT LOOP; MANDATORY.
STEERING; Quick releases allowed on stock steering. May replace stock steering with shaft and steering hiem at steering box. MUST have collapsible shaft section.
ENGINES; STOCK only. GM on GM, Ford on Ford, etc. STOCK cast iron intake and STOCK carb, NO jettable Quadrajets, NO spacers, 4 bbl. Ok. NO double pampers allowed. STOCK exhaust manifolds. NO aluminum pulleys allowed. NO after market or home made racing oil pans. NO motor set back. Must have stock mounts in stock location.
A. MUST pull 12 inches of vacuum @ 1200 rpms. Must pull vacuum off of intake NOT carburetor.
B. NO 1.6 rocker arms. NO anti pump up lifters such as Rhodes lifters. NO solid lift cams, poly locks, screw in studs, guide plates, port and polish, etc, ARE NOT ALLOWED.
C. Double nuts on rocker arms will be allowed.
D. ALL cars must have an 1” inspection hole, above the oil line in the oil pan with easy access. If you do not have an inspection hole you will not be allowed to pull engine or pan. You will automatically be DISQUALIFIED.
E. Aluminum radiators are allowed.
BODIES; Bodies must remain intact with all metal in interior of car. Chopping or altering of roof will not be allowed. Door bars will be required in left and right doors.
ROLL CAGES; Roll cages must be basic four post type with rear supports.
A. Four post roll cage with diagonal brace behind driver is mandatory. Cage must be MIN> 1 1/2” O.D. x .095” wall thickness mild steel tubing.
B. Must have door bars on left and right side.
C. Cage must be welded to frame in at least six places.
D. Cage must extend full width of frame and roof. Cage must extend from windshield posts to behind drivers seat BUT NOT farther than 6” behind trailing edge of doors.
E. Bracing material must be 1” O.D. x .095” wall thickness mild steel tubing MINIMUM.
F. Use web type gussets to tie main frame roll tube together.
G. X-bar from top of 4 point to rear frame rails is ok. 1 ½” O.D. only.
H. Radiator protector may be installed. Maximum 2” tube. Formed around radiator with a maximum 18” back brace.
I. Bars from four point to radiator allowed 1 ½” O.D. only.
SEATS; Seats and belts must be racing type as all other classes of cars. NO stock or fiberglass type seats.
TIRES; McCreary, Hoosiers, or Goodyear. 26.5, 27.0 x 10.0 x 15 asphalt take offs ONLY. May groove or sipe tires.
SAFETY; Fire suits and gloves mandatory and must be worn at all times during racing. All cars will be equipped with a full size 16” x 20” window net. Window net will be in use at all times. Two arm restraints may be used instead of a window net. You will be checked before you race.
Fuel; Gasoline ONLY - NO additives. NO alcohol, NO nitro.
A. Fuel cell mandatory. Fuel cell must be securely and safely mounted and steel encased.. Fuel cell must be relocated and centered in trunk area with hole in trunk floor the same size as the fuel cell. Fuel cell must be completely separated from drivers compartment.
B. Fuel delivery system must be stock. NO electric fuel pumps or pressure systems.
C. MUST HAVE A ROLL OVER FLAP OR ROLL OVER VALVE INSTALLED AT FUEL CELL.
d. Fuel line cannot pass though drivers compartment. NO vinyl or plastic fuel lines. Steel braid HIGHLY recommended.
GENERAL; ALL CHROME, GLASS, AND PLASTIC MUST BE REMOVED.
JUST REMEMBER IF IT DOSEN’T SAY YOU CAN… THEN YOU CAN’T.
